Rheumatoid Arthritis Treatment

I just found out today that my dad has this. I know it can’t be cured but I sure as hell want to help him. He has been given several things by the doctor but that is mainly for the pain. I was wondering if tablets containing omega-3 or any other joint tablets would help in any way? Anybody suffering with this? How do you deal with it.

Please help me.

I’m confused with health education for RA patients with health promotion for Ra patients. Can anyone gives me examples on health promotion for Ra patients?
(i) Is comforting the patient from excruciating pain consider as health promotion?

(ii) giving seminar about the disease itself to the community that talks about the disease,how it progress, what are the signs and symptoms is also consider as health promotion?

(iii) correct me if I’m wrong, health education is to educate the patient about how the disease process, how to manage it etc and health promotion is to promote the health status of the patient itself that includes comforting them, giving awareness etc.

the more the better, mail me and help me. better if you have pdf’s or something like that, i need to write a paper, i will add everything i use in bibliography. kind of urgent though. thanks. if there are any doctors out there maybe they would be willing to help a fellow medicine student.

Any suggestion, what to eat that will not trigger same?

I am 25 years old and I have a severe case of rheumatoid arthritis. I have had this chronic, debilitating disease for 3 years now. I just need advice, comments, ideas, or anything to help me cope with this disease. I am trying to education myself about this illness.

Also, does anybody know where I can get support from others? Sometimes I just need someone to listen or who can relate to me.
