I read that RA can cause dry or red eyes I am just wonder if it will involve both eyes or can also effects only ones and has it any effect on vision and if yes can vision problem goes away by correction glasses?

RA causes redness in one or both eyes because you dry out so corrective lenses won’t help. The good news is that an over the counter artificial tear will. Use them throughout the day-if redness persists consult your eye doctor and hej may recommend a prescription drop. Good luck!

Its not that rheumatoid arthritis causes red or dry eye, but that the underlying autoimmune connective tissue disorder that causes rheumatoid arthritis can also affect connective tissue in the eye.
The iris, ciliary body, cornea and many of the tear producing structures of the eye can be affected. If the iris and ciliary body are affected, the resulting disease is called uveitis and will feature pain, blurred vision and red eye. This condition needs prompt treatment with prescription drops to prevent permanent damage. Either one or both eyes can be involved.
If the tear producing structures of the eye are affected, severe dry eye results. Dry eye can be treated with artifical tears, punctal plugs, prescription drops and/or oral medication. Vision can be affected due to irritation of the cornea.
Glasses are not a treatment for either dry eye or uveitis
