Is rheumatoid arthritis a side effect of thyroidectomy and/or the thyroid replacement hormone?

From everything I’ve read, neither cause rheumatoid arthritis. But since rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease (where your body attacks itself), there is also the likelihood that you have or will have other autoimmune diseases, and Hashimotos Disease is another one.
