Fo those of you who have Rheumatoid Arthritis I just read that people with this disease?

are twice as likely to have heart problems than those without. Have you seen this? And why would that be true?

I think because increased inflammation associated with RA also appears to contribute substantially to the increased cardiovascular mortality. They are also testing the effects of antirheumatic drugs on the cardiovascular system. Clinical trials are underway to assess the impact of therapies and maintain a tight control of inflammation in RA patients ♥
